Postponing the New King
In September 2013, thousands of protesters took to the streets of Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh, against the alleged frauds in election results of a new King.
On the weekend of September 21
2013, demonstrations took place outside near the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom to postpone the first parliamentary session with the new government the next week.
In accordance, a petition was signed by 35000 citizens which was then delivered to the new King.
